The president of the House Dems campaign says his “Offensa” party of the Battle of 2026 to recover the majority of the GOP

With the first movements that were warmed up in the battle of 2026 by the majority of the House, the chairman of the Democratic Congressional Congress Committee (DCCC) argues that President Donald Trump and Republican majorities in the House and Senate are “doing incredible damage to working families and in our country.”

And with the GOP that defended a majority of shaving in the house in the medium -term election next year, representative Suzan Delbene, the DCCC chair, said: “We only need three more seats.”

“We have 35 districts in play throughout the country where we have opportunities,” Delbene said in a digital interview with Fox News last week in the country’s capital, pointing to the Republican seats that the DCCC is addressed.

“We are in offense. We are fighting for the North -American people and the important problems that care for them and the Democrats are united to do it.”

House Democrats predict that Republicans will pay the price to pass Trump’s “Great Bill”

While the party in power after the presidential election, currently the GOP, is normally facing political heads and loses house seats in the middle media, the 2026 map seems to favor Republicans.

“The battlefield is really on our advantage. There are 14 Democrats who won seats also brought by Donald Trump. There are only three Republicans in seats that were wearing [former Vice President] Kamala Harris. So, this tells me that we will offend, “Richard Hudson of North Carolina, President of the Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC), told Fox News Digital at the beginning of the 2026 cycle.

Delbene countered that “the reason we have opportunities is because people are outraged, because they want someone to enter the post that will fight for their communities and not only blindly loyal to a president.”

And pointing to the little bite, the Democrats removed the majority of the GOP in the 2024 election, added that “these are the types of candidates who won the last cycle in our districts. It is a reason why we really obtained seats in 2024 and it is absolutely the reason why we will recover the majority in 2026”.

But Hudson said he has a powerful ally as he works to keep control of the house.

“The President understands that he must keep most of the house in the medium term so that he has a four -year court instead of a two -year track to get his agenda,” Hudson said. “We have been very helpful and we appreciate it.”

And the Democrats face an election dilemma because party assessments have sunk up to historical lows in various national surveys until this year.

Democrats’ ratings in a Fox News poll were 41% favorable and 56% unfavorable in a survey conducted from 18 to 21 April.

This is always a minimum for Democrats in Fox News Polling. And for the first time in a decade, the party’s position was less than the one of the GOP, which stood at 44% favorable and 54% unfavorable.

The figures were reversed last summer, when Fox News last asked the party’s favability question in one of his surveys.

But there is a silver coating for the Democrats.

The Fox News Poll said that if the 2026 medium -term elections were held today, 49% of the voters would support a generic Democrat in their Congress district, with 42% supporting the generic Republican candidate.

Democrats also have another problem: the possibility of primary challenges against the older and largest house legislators in the safe blue districts.

Democratic National Committee Chair (DNC) newly elected David Hogg Last month, he promised to spend millions of dollars through his external political group to support primary challenges against what he called “asleep behind the wheel” Democrats who argued that they have not been effective in receding against Trump.

The 25 -year -old Hogg movement a survivor of the shooting seven years ago in the Marjory Stoneman Dough High School in South Florida, to spend money on the other Democrats lit a fire storm inside the party.

In response, Delbene said, “Democrats across the country are united when recovering the house.”

Asked by Fox News If the HOGG movement will force the DCCC and the super pacs allies to divert money and resources from the competitive districts to defend the headlines of the blue districts of the primary challenges, Delbene responded: “I think everyone knows the importance of recovering the house and people are focused on helping us to ensure that we do it in the districts across the country.”

But the dispute is giving GOP ammunition.

In response to the intra-democratic feud, NRCC spokesman Mike Marinella argued: “There is no safe Democrat. There is a political earthquake and the old guard is being searched.”
